AHPA releases cannabis oversight recommendations

This week the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) culminated a process that began in 2010 and released cannabis oversight recommendations for marijuana industry regulators. Legal marijuana poses challenges for businesses, governments and regulators, and guidelines for legal production and distribution, from seed to consumption, have few documented precedents, so the nation’s oldest non-profit organization serving the vast and diverse herbal industry drew on its legacy with non-cannabis products to help develop best practices for the emerging cannabis products sector.
