Bureaucratic Illinois moves slowly forward with medical marijuana program.

On the first of the year, 2014, the state of Illinois began implementation of a system to regulate the production and distribution of medical marijuana, and when the four year pilot program is fully implemented, there will be 22 cultivation centers, one for each state police district, and 60 dispensaries distributed across the state by population density.
